Jazan University: Media Department

His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, affirmed that the university’s systems and regulations work to prevent extremism in all its forms, and that Jazan University’s purpose is to serve the country and its sons and daughters and those who will join it. We remain united by our beliefs, our solidarity, and our moderate approach.

This came during the meeting of His Excellency the President of the University with the new students and his felicitation of the outstanding young men and women, in the presence of a number of university leaders. The meet-up was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities auditorium this morning, with the participation of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hassan Ishaq, Vice President for Student Affairs (Female) Dr. Fatima Aqili,  the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Ahmed Faqihi, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Yahya Faqihi and the meeting was moderated by Mr. Musa Muharraq, the Supervisor of the General Administration of Public Relations and Media.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the President of the University honored 130 male and female students who obtained grades (5-5) for the past academic year.

His Excellency the President of the University stated in his speech that the University student has rights and duties, and that the university is keen to communicate directly with its students, through online systems and the official channels of the university.

His Excellency pointed out that one of the rights of the university student is to obtain a distinguished education and to be provided with the study environment and the appropriate scientific climate for him to obtain high-quality learning. His duty is to use the university's property responsibly, respect its employees and those who work on the campus, including faculty members and employees.

His Excellency the President of the University and the participants in the meeting answered the questions of the new students, which touched on a number of important themes such as study schedules, university housing, rewards, and the three-semester system.
