The President of Jazan University meets students on the first day of the academic year

This morning, Jazan University received more than 50,000 male and female students at the start of their new academic year 1444 AH. The necessary preparations were concluded to commence regular lectures, complete the class schedules, and specify classrooms and laboratories.

His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, inspected the progress and regularity of the classes in a number of faculties. He also met with a number of students in their classrooms. His Excellency stressed the importance of a serious and strong start and continuing efforts to achieve the aspirations of our wise leadership and keep pace with the plans and goals that the Ministry of Education seeks to achieve, which emanates from Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

He also welcomed the faculty members and students of the University, stressing the importance of harnessing all human and technical capabilities to provide student services in an outstanding manner, and intensifying the counseling and guidance programs that help prepare male and female students to adapt to the new university life.

The Deanship of Student Affairs organized today a program to prepare new students, at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology campus.

The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Ishaq, inaugurated the induction week to prepare the new students, while the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Yahya bin Ali Faqihi, explained that the program organized by the Deanship for both male and female sections aims to introduce the new students to the university and the importance of this stage of ther student life, and explained all aspects. He indicated that this program, which starts at the beginning of the week, includes a number of programs and events, the most important of which is an explanation of the transition to the three semesters, and a review of the cultural and sports events and activities offered by student clubs.
