Jazan University: Media Department

Jazan University has completed its preparations for the start of the academic year 1444 AH by organizing well equipped lecture halls and laboratories, as well as harnessing all capabilities within the university to create a conducive academic environment from the first day of school.

The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Ishaq, explained that about 50,000 students start their university studies next Sunday, including 11,000 students who were accepted this year. He stressed the importance of commitment to attend from the first day of study and to benefit from the induction program that will be organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs where the academic system, the three semesters, and the progress of the study at the university will be explained.

Dr. Ishaq indicated that this year will witness the regularity of university studies at the Samtah Applied College and the Applied College in Al-Ardah, which will award a diploma, in addition to the Applied College. This year will also witness, for the first time, female students studying law in the College of Sharia and Law and industrial engineering in the College of Engineering.

Dr. Ishaq indicated that the university, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, has prepared a program to prepare new students under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, which includes a number of introductory workshops on the regulations and regulations of the university and its student clubs, providing students with technical skills, as well as introducing them to specializations and academic streams.
