The President of Jazan University inaugurates the strategic manpower planning project

His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, inaugurated this morning the strategic planning project for the workforce (faculty members), which was organized by the Deanship of Human Resources, in the presence of the university’s vice presidents, deans of colleges and faculty members at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology auditorium.

His Excellency clarified that the project is a real breakthrough for evaluating the workforce at the university, and we wish to see satisfactory results from the employees so that they may serve the university in the future.

His Excellency added that the faculties involved with the project will help to correct some of the negative aspects, while stressing the importance of faculties in focusing on the performances of their teaching staff like teaching assistants and lecturers, and the need to adjust schedules with the three-semester system, which does not accept delay, postponement or absence for a faculty member.

The activities were launched with a workshop that was initiated by the Dean of Human Resources, Dr. Mansour Awaji, with an introduction to the strategic planning project for the workforce at the university, the importance of the project and the justifications for the project.

Then Ms. Mashael Al-Sheikh, advisor to the Dean of Human Resources at the university, presented an explanation of the project outputs and the mechanism for reviewing data on the needs of academic departments from the faculty members.

While Dr. Ghaleb Suwaidi, Advisor to the President's Office for Academic Affairs, discussed the mechanism of work of the committees to discuss the needs of academic departments for the faculty members.

The workshop was concluded by the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Ahmed Faqihi, by measuring the indicators of the efficiency of the study schedules.

After that, the floor was opened for questions and inquiries.
