Jazan University: Media Department

His Excellency the Jazan University President, Prof. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, confirmed that the university students are the main focus of the educational process, praising their excellence in serving their country and community through the initiatives and activities they implement inside and outside the university. The “Be Careful” campaign aims to enhance university students’ knowledge of first aid and methods of dealing with fire related injuries and shall be launched during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Anwar bin Muhammad Makin, stated that the college and the team members of the “Save Me” initiative were pleased to be honored by His Excellency the President of the University. The initiative which comes in line with Vision 2030, is nearing its fourth year and targets public education students and all members of community. The initiative provided many programs on the basics of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which were implemented by more than 170 students from the Faculty of Medicine and benefited more than 6000 public education students and the number of views of the campaign from general education students reached more than 290,000 beneficiaries.

Dr. Makin thanked the President of the University for his support of the student community initiatives, praising the efforts of the Student Activities Unit at the college headed by its Supervisor, Dr. Ali Musa Za’ala, the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university and the General Department of Public Relations and Media for supporting these effective initiatives.
