Jazan University: Media Department

His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, on behalf of the University’s employees and students, congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - on his leaving King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, after some medical examinations. His Excellency also congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Highness the Crown Prince - may God preserve them - His Highness the Jazan region Governor, His Highness the Deputy Governor, and His Excellency the Minister of Education on the approaching blessed month of Ramadan. He praised His Highness for the launch of the external scholarships program, which represents a new era and shall contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of citizens by raising the efficiency of human resources in new and promising sectors.

This came during the chairing of the University Council in its sixth session for the year 1443 AH, by His Excellency Dr. Mar’ei Al-Qahtani in the presence of the Secretary-General for University Council Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, and other members.

The Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Secretary of the University Council, Prof. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, stated that the Council took a number of decisions and recommendations, including: Approval of the appointment of 30 Saudi faculty members to the ranks of assistant professor and lecturer, the scholarships - continuity and transfer of 25 teaching assistants and lecturers, the granting of scientific degrees to 14 male and female students in postgraduate studies, and approval of the presentation of the final budget of Jazan University for the fiscal year 1442-1443 AH. Also recommending approval of Jazan University’s strategy for community service and sustainable development, approval of the university calendar for the summer semester of the university year 1443 AH, approval of updating the internal executive rules regulating the completion of research at Jazan University, approval of the executive rules for issuing, regulating and investing scientific journals at Jazan University, and approval of the rules for paying the tuition fees for the children of some of the university’s scholarship students, and approving the creation of a Master’s program in clinical laboratory sciences, Clinical Biochemistry Stream, Diagnostic Hematology and Blood Transfusion Sciences Stream, and Medical Microbiology Stream.
