Members of the Shoura Council visit Jazan University

The delegation of the Shoura Council members, headed by Dr. Suleiman bin Ali Al-Fayfi, met with the President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, in the presence of the university’s representatives, in the administrative tower of the University City this morning.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Mar’ei Al-Qahtani, welcomed the members of the Shoura Council, stressing that the visit confirms the keenness and interest of the Shoura Council and its members in university education and their direct support for the efforts being made and their awareness of the many achievements of the university.

The itinerary of council members at Jazan University included a visit to the university hospital, during which the delegation was briefed by the Supervisor of the General Administration of Medical Services and the Operation of the University Hospital, Dr. Madani Al-Eissa, about the stages that have been accomplished in the hospital’s infrastructure. The delegation was also briefed on the services provided by the university hospital, and the clinics. The delegation appreciated the efforts of the university’s employees and students of the university’s health colleges in managing and operating the university hospital through the launch of many programs and initiatives to serve the health care sector.

The Shoura delegation was also briefed on the university city’s projects, where the University’s Vice President, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ma’ashi, gave an explanation of the most prominent completed projects, explaining that the number of colleges within the university city had increased from two colleges 5 years ago to 11 college campuses, and the delegation was also briefed on the administrative tower. An introductory film was shown about the university, its most prominent projects, the advanced centers it had established, and the supporting colleges and deanships it contains. The delegation concluded its visit to Jazan University with a visit to the University hotel.
