Jazan University: Media Department

The Director of the Medical Research Center at Jazan University, Dr. Nasser bin Ali Shubayr, and the Executive Director of the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), Dr. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Askar signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in the academic, scientific, training and cultural research fields and to exchange experiences in the areas of joint cooperation.

Dr. Nasser Shubayr indicated that the cooperation between the two parties opens the way for the exchange of researchers and the preparation of joint research teams in a number of fields such as infectious diseases, cancer research, experimental medicine, developmental medicine, population health, biotechnology, statistics and medical genomics.

Dr. Shubayr indicated that the memorandum of understanding touched on coordination for training male and female students of health and scientific colleges, supervising the research of male and female students, including postgraduate students of both parties, and encouraging the exchange of academic, scientific, research, training and cultural visits between the two parties in order to develop and support research activity and improve its quality.

For his part, the Executive Director of the King Abdullah International Center for Medical Research (KIMRC), Dr. Al-Askar, indicated that the memorandum of understanding seeks to contribute to improving the quality of life in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030; He commended the academic skills of the graduates and research projects that Jazan University possesses that support scientific and research progress at the local and international levels.​
