Jazan University: Media Department

The Supervisor of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Omaima Al-Badri, inaugurated the induction and qualifying workshops for the (University Innovation Challenge for Sustainable Development), which was launched by the Ministry of Education under the patronage of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Education for Universities, Research and Innovation Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Ahmed Al-Sudairy, in partnership with Prince Mohammed bin Salman College and Babson Global and the United Nations Development Organization (UNDP).

This challenge aims to encourage university students to innovate and contribute to transforming ideas into promising projects that are in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and serve the global objectives of sustainable development.

In the second phase, a number of student graduation projects were selected from the faculties of medicine, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Design and Architecture, the University College in Sabya, and the University College in Samtah Governorate.

Dr. Omaima Al-Badri, Supervisor of the Innovation Center, wished success to all students participating in this challenge, and thanked His Excellency the President of Jazan University and His Excellency the Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship for their support and follow-up, and to all participating colleges, deans of colleges, college deans for research and development, coordinators of innovation and entrepreneurship units in colleges, supervisors and project supervisors, for their cooperation and encouragement of their students, and thanked the Innovation Center staff for their cooperation in organizing and implementing these workshops.

The training workshops are scheduled to continue according to a timetable announced to the participating faculties until the completion of all its stages.​
