Vice Presidents of Jazan University: The achievements of the Vision affirm that we are on the path of sustainable development

The top administration and employees of Jazan University praised the achievements and successes witnessed by the Kingdom, and the great development that covered all walks of life and they ask God to bring success to the Kingdom’s leadership and the people and help them to achieve all that they aspire to in terms of progress, development and prosperity. This came on the occasion of the Five-year anniversary of the launch of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, explained that Jazan University, since the launch of the vision, has witnessed developments in various fields, as the volume of research published in the global database “Scopus” and the ISI scientific classification increased between 2016 and 2020. And the university obtained an advanced position among the top 10 universities and research institutions in the Kingdom in the field of Coronavirus-related research.

While the Vice President of the University Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Ali Ma’ashi confirmed that Jazan University believes in equitable solutions in its relentless progress towards achieving the goals of the National Vision 2030, as it succeeded during the current year in transferring 22 colleges, institutes and deanships to university buildings that provide a distinct educational and administrative environment, and the university city has 10 colleges, in addition to the Saudization of 220 jobs within the operation and maintenance sectors, and these efforts ended with the university achieving third place in the Kingdom in achieving efficient spending.

The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Ishaq said that the University has been keen over the past years to update and develop its regulations and academic programs in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, to keep pace with the needs of the evolving labor market, and to provide students with the most important skills to be highly competitive.

The Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Naief Azyabi praised the support the University receives from the wise leadership, stressing that the University’s award of full and unconditional institutional academic accreditation, in addition to the program accreditation of a number of programs, are major and important achievements that confirm the University’s interest in quality, which is the one of the most important features of the Vision. The University’s role in community building through the programs of the Deanship of Community Service aim to provide the local people with new skills and knowledge to move forward in building their future.

While the Vice President for Student Affairs (Female), Dr. Fatima Bint Abdulaziz Aqili, stated that the constant support and interest that the University students receive, goes a long way in making higher education accessible in most governorates of the region through university colleges. They provide important and qualitative specializations that ensure the effective participation of women in the building and development process. In addition, the University completed many infrastructure projects and provided an advanced educational environment by completing the building of the Academic Complex for Female Students at Mahliya, which is the jewel of university projects and other numerous achievements, confirming that the university will continue to follow up the implementation of its programs within the National Vision 2030.
