His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein AlQahtani stressed the importance of qualifying scholarships before leaving for those countries abroad, stressing the need for the applicant students to participate in the program because of the important guidelines. He indicated that the University, despite the current circumstances, has specified all scholarship controls and requirements to the interested scholarship students.

This came during His Excellency’s launching of the qualifying program for Teaching Assistants and Lecturers for scholarships in the presence of the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, the University’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Ishaq, and the Supervisor of the General Administration of Scholarships, Recruitment and International Cooperation, Dr. Saeed bin Abdullah Musa, and the Supervisor of the Public Relations and Media administration, Mr. Musa bin Yahya Muharraq.

For his part, Dr. Abu Rasin emphasized the University’s role in adopting quality in all procedures for scholarships, adding that the qualification program was designed to help teaching assistants and lecturers, facilitate their scholarship and admission procedures to international universities and overcome the obstacles that they face throughout their scholarship period.

While the Supervisor of the General Administration of Scholarships, Recruitment and International Cooperation, Dr. Saeed bin Abdullah Musa, explained that the program offers a series of qualification programs for teaching assistants and lecturers who are on scholarships, adding that the experiences of former scholarships will be reviewed, shedding light on the stage of their scholarship and the most prominent obstacles they faced, in addition to basics of writing a research proposal to obtain admission to postgraduate studies, and the role of the teaching assistants and lecturers unit.
