Jazan University is among the top 10 universities who have undertaken Coronavirus research

The report issued by the Observatory for Research, Development and Innovation at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology revealed that Jazan University has achieved an advanced position among the top 10 universities and research institutions in the Kingdom in the field of scientific research related to the emerging coronavirus.

The Vice President of Jazan University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, affirmed the University’s keenness to enrich and support scientific research on the Coronavirus since the beginning of the emergence and spread of the virus. There has been constant follow-up and support from the University President Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, for the members the faculty to conduct research.

While the Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Ahmed bin Muhammad AbdulHaq explained that a number of university researchers in the Faculties of Dentistry, Pharmacy, Applied Medical Sciences, and Nursing, along with researchers from the Medical Research Center and the Center for Psychotropic Substances have published several researches since the beginning of the year on the Coronavirus pandemic. Notable among the researchers are Abdullah Al-Qaisi from the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Muhammad Jaafar and his colleagues from Faculty of Dentistry, Hassan Al-Hazmi, Muhammad Al-Barati, Hafiz Makin, Asem Najmi, and others from the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Center for Psychotropic Substances and researchers from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Systems reviewed some harmful electronic activities associated with the Covid-19 pandemic and developed solutions to reduce them.
