11 Muharram 1442

The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Ishaq, visited the Faculty of Dentistry and its clinics, and looked at the precautionary plans to limit the spread of the Corona virus and the mechanism of work with the beginning of the new academic year.

The Dean of the College, Dr. Haitham Faqih, explained that the college provides its therapeutic services through its 287 clinics, with a commitment to apply a precautionary operating mechanism to ensure the progress of the educational process while achieving educational quality, and reducing health risks by preserving the safety and health of the college’s employees and visitors.

Dr. Haitham Faqih pointed out that the safety mechanism includes a number of procedures, including: allocating entry and exit areas with visual screening points, and reducing the occupancy rate of clinics and laboratories to 50% by dividing students into small groups to ensure adequate spacing between exposed treatment units and equipping virtual halls. Also, there would be placement of awareness posters to achieve social distancing, the provision of hand sanitizers at the entrances, reception areas, main corridors and waiting rooms, in addition to launching an awareness program by the College’s Infection Control Unit to broadcast and communicate educational and awareness messages on a regular and continuous basis regarding all the developments about the pandemic by official channels.
