Jazan Governor: The University has made a distinguished position for its developmental research and initiatives

His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jazan region, praised the University’s pioneering role in supporting the region’s activities and distinguishing its initiatives and research projects to develop coffee cultivation. His Highness praised the efforts of its researchers and professors in supporting and promoting sustainable agricultural projects through research and scientific studies.

This came during his inspection of the University’s wing at the Eighth Coffee Festival in Al-Dair governorate, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz bin Muhammad, Deputy Governor of the region. They were received by the University’s Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Muhammad Abu Rasin, the Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Ibrahim Qasadi, and the Supervisor of the Center for Environmental Research and Studies, Dr. Zarraq Al-Fayfi.

The Governor of the region was briefed on the pavilion and the most prominent environmental and agricultural research carried out by the Center for Environmental Research and Studies and listened to an explanation by Dr. Muhammad Abu Rasin, who explained the Center’s role in supporting farmers to develop their capabilities by implementing many training courses that targeted farmers, under the guidance and follow-up of His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Mar’ei Al-Qahtani.

It is noteworthy that the Governor of Jazan region has received a report on the success of the University’s research project in introducing the cultivation of agarwood and sandalwood trees in the mountain regions.
