Coinciding with the International Coffee Day, the Department of Home Economics at Samtah University College (formerly) implemented an enriching and enjoyable event, under the patronage of Her Excellency the Dean of the College, Dr. Miad Siddique. The event was well received by faculty members and college students. The event started with a workshop (Coffee, History and Future) carried out by Dr. Nadia Al Shaer, in which she talked about the importance of coffee, its history and the health benefits of coffee, as well as the Saudi Coffee Year and Saudi Arabia’s projects to increase local production of coffee, especially in the Jazan region. After that, all attendees moved to the "International Coffee Day" exhibition, where the exhibition included a section of the students' works, drawing on coffee and drawing using coffee, and models of international coffee types were displayed. The exhibition included a special corner in which community participation appeared between the college and a number of coffee shops that shared their commercial experience with the students.
