Salah Abdulrhmann was born in Assiut, Egypt, on September 14, 1972. He received the B. Sc., M. Sc. and Ph D degrees in Physics from the Faculty of Science, Assiut University, Assiut, Egypt, in 1994, 1998 and 2007 respectively. Currently, he is a lecturer in Physics Department, Faculty of Science, Assiut University.

Dr. Abdulrhmann is a Visiting Fellow at the Department of Electrical and Electoronic Engineering, Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), supported by the postdoctoral program of Korea Science and Engineering Foundation (KOSEF).

His research activity is in the field of statics and dynamics of semiconductor lasers and their applications in optical fiber communication systems. THz pulse Generation and Detection and Photonic Crystal.
