Prof. Sahera F. Mohamed is specialized in Biochemistry ( Biotechnology) . She has got her PhD . on Microbial biotechnology-The response of microorganism to environmental content of heavy metals (The effect of heavy metals on ribonucleotide reductase enzyme). She got the PhD. from Hannover University, Germany and Cairo university, Egypt via a scholarship from DAAD on 1998. She moved as Assistant professor in College of education for girls -Scientific Departments on 2000. She participated in establishment of the chemistry department in 2001. She served in the college in several administrative duties as well as worked in research in the field of biotechnology and got the position of Associate Professor on 2008. She continued the research activity and got the position full professor on 2013.

She got the Jazan University Award of Excellence in Teaching , the first position on May 2019.

Her current research is focused on the biopolymer as a precursor in drug delivery, she published a lot of papers in journals with high reputations and contributed international and national conferences.

She worked as consultant in the deanship of academic development in Jazan university in the period between 2010-2020 and shared in the institutional accreditation team in 2018.

She worked as reviewer for program accreditation between 2018-2020.

She participated and offered more than 50 workshops in the field of academic accreditation on the institutional and program levels.
