Roma completed her B.Ss. in Electronics from Kashmir University, India in the year 2000. She completed her MCA (Masters in Computer Applications) degree from Kashmir University, India in 2004.
She was appointed as a lecturer in Department of Computer Science, Amar Singh College, Srinagar, Kashmir, India from 2005 to 2007. She worked as lecturer in Department of Computer Science, Kashmir University for 6 months. She joined Iqbal Institute of Technology and Management as Lecturer Computer Science in the year 2007 and continued till 2011. She was appointed as Lecturer in Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Jazan University in 2012.
