Hitherto Research Areas

 

       Improving radionuclides production at cyclotrons for medical applications (for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes) via:

  1. Knowledge of nuclear date for specific radionuclide by excitation functions studies.
  2. Target systems for the production (capability of target material to withstand high currents).
  3. Separation methods (ease of chemical separation of the radionuclide product)
  4. Quality controls
    1. Radionuclidic purity via using gamma-spectrometer (Multi-channel analyzer connected with a high pure germanium detector).
    2. Radiochemical purity via using different systems as high performance liquid chromatography and thin layer chromatography.
    3. Chemical purity via using ICP , HPLC and UV/visible spectrophotometer.

  ð 2004-2006    Doctoral Programs in “Studies on Production, Separation and Quality       

                            Control of Iodine-124 via Novel Radiochemical Technique"

                            Mansoura University, This work was carried out at Institute of Nuclear   

                           Chemistry, Julich, Germany through the Egyptian-Germany cooperation  

                           project; PhD in May 2004 .

 

  ð 2001-2003    MSc degree in " Methods of separating cyclotron produced Gallium-67 

                            from Zn & Cu target, Mansoura University; in June 2003.

 

  ð 1998-1999   Pre-MSc course in "Inorganic chemistry", Cairo University.
