His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, confirmed that the University’s strategic plan is the product of its sons and daughters, pointing out that the success of any strategic plan depends on the involvement of the institution’s personnel in its preparation, and the presence of a follow-up body for it.

This came during His Excellency's presentation of a workshop entitled "University Leadership between Strategy and Realism" today, Sunday, as part of the activities of the International Conference and Exhibition for Education 2022, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.

His Excellency the President of the University reviewed 9 axes included in the workshop: governance and organizational efficiency, sustainability and spending efficiency, Saudization, quality of teaching and learning, research, innovation and entrepreneurship, community service, women empowerment, digital transformation, and developing the educational and administrative environment.

His Excellency indicated that the developmental steps at Jazan University contributed to the achievement of milestones, as the rate of growth in the university's own revenues since 2016 reached (166%), and that the financial savings resulting from re-planning the workforce amounted to 184 million riyals, praising the university's achievement of the fourth rank at the level of government agencies in spending efficiency.

His Excellency stressed the importance of encouraging volunteer work, encouraging social responsibility and increasing the authorities’ fulfillment of their specialized social responsibilities. In addition, the University worked to empower women by increasing the number of women leaders in the university council, raising the percentage of women’s participation in leadership positions, raising the rate of female students’ participation in sports activities, and nationalizing women’s jobs.

His Excellency added that Jazan University operates according to an integrated electronic system for the services of beneficiaries, digital authentication and digital transformation, by strengthening and developing the digital infrastructure, establishing the university information center, and establishing data management, stressing also that the university works in accordance with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, improving the quality of Life in the university’s facilities and creating a suitable environment for empowerment and improving the quality of services provided.
