Jazan University, College of Design and Architecture students organize an art exhibition at the Jazan Cultural Street

The Vice President of Jazan University for Student Affairs (Female Section), Dr. Fatima Aqili, inaugurated yesterday evening the “Colors Festival” at the “Jazan Cultural Street” located at the northern Jazan Corniche. It was set up by the College of Design and Architecture to highlight the skills of its students, their pioneering work and their contributions to serving and raising community awareness.
The Dean of the College of Design and Architecture, Dr. Fatima Al-Sheikh, indicated that the festival aims to highlight the creative skills and to develop and showcase the talents of the college students.
She indicated that the festival included many pavilions, events and various projects, including a diverse art exhibition for drawings, paintings, director’s studio, calligraphy, textiles, printing, glass art and mosaics, which contained more than 150 artworks of various genres.
The festival also included a "My Identity" pavilion to display the projects of female graduates from the College of Design and Architecture, skilled entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship, and an exhibition of flowers and friends of the environment to raise awareness in the community about environment preservation, and to display and market students' projects.
The festival also launched the Marathon of Colors, which targeted children and their families to create an atmosphere of joy and happiness and to promote health and psychological awareness. About 30 children and their families participated, in addition to an interactive wall of an artist's fingerprint, which is an interactive graffiti wall for coloring to enhance artistic skills.
