18 Muharram 1442

Jazan University, represented by the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology, launched an initiative to develop the capabilities of the University’s faculty members and develop their skills in using e-learning tools.
The Dean, Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology at Jazan University, Dr. Ibrahim Ghashim, explained that the initiative aims to improve the level of service provided to the student, at a time when e-learning has become a strategic and future choice in the education process in the Kingdom.
Dr. Ghashim pointed out that the faculty member and the student are the two main pillars of the educational process, and this initiative is being undertaken to overcome the problems of time and place and to keep abreast of the developments and latest technologies by using the latest e-learning systems and platforms.
Dr. Ghashim stated that the package includes 8 training categories to make the faculty member at Jazan University eligible to obtain a certificate from the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology after passing all the categories. Or he/she could directly attempt the proficiency test of a particular category that he wants to skip because he has prior knowledge and mastery over the content and is able to use the tools.

Dr. Ghashim pointed out that the packages shall focus mainly training on: “digital empowerment”, “effective presentation skills”, “micro-education skills”, “skills for using e-learning platforms and their systems”, “educational design”, “digital content production skills”, “electronic calendar skills” while the eighth package would be as per the faculty’s specialization – “theoretical – medical – applied”.
