Jazan University has achieved the ninth place among public universities in the number of citations for the scientific publications for the month of July 2020, which are affiliated with the Webometrics classification.

The results of scientific citations in the Citations in Google Scholar Profiles for July 2020 of the Webometrics classification showed the progress of Jazan University in scientific citations by advancing over 120 international universities during the month of January 2020.

The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, explained that Jazan University’s progress in the results of scientific citations is an indication of the university’s progress and its keenness to advance scientific research and enter into scientific partnerships with local and international research centers and its contribution to research studies and finding scientific solutions in many domains.

Dr. Abu Raseen indicated that the specialized research centers and the presence of highly qualified researchers contribute to publishing research results in distinguished scientific journals and contribute to strengthening the scientific position of Jazan University and bringing it up to the level of international universities’ competitiveness. He also expressed his thanks to His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani for his continuing support for researchers that motivates them to contribute towards enhancing the University’s standing locally and globally.
