Dr. Manal Al-Malki is a leader in health innovation
Jazan University: Media Department The Vice Dean of the College of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at Jazan University, Dr. Manal Al-Malki, has been selected by the American Society for Healthcare Information and Management Systems to be among the 50 future leaders who rely on a lot in providing innovative technical and scientific solutions to overcome current and future challenges facing the health system at the local levels. Accordingly, Dr. was awarded the title of Innovation Leader for her excellence in this important digital health field.
The American Society is a well-established non-profit organization concerned with improving health care through the development of concepts of quality and patient safety using modern digital technologies. Dr. Manal Al-Malki is a member of the Advisory Board at Jazan University, the Permanent Committee for Scientific Research, and is the leader of the Saudi Working Group for the Competency Framework in Health Informatics, and a member of the National Advisory Committee for Health Informatics at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties in Riyadh. Dr. Al-Malki works passionately in workforce development. In the field of health informatics, curriculum design, digital health applications and research, including lifestyle informatics.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Manal has achieved many awards and certificates of excellence at the global and Gulf levels, most notably: the Excellence Award from Elsevier-Zimam at the level of the Arab Gulf in the transformation program for the workforce development project in the field of e-health for the year 2019, and a certificate of research excellence from the Cultural Attaché in Australia, which is The only student to obtain this certificate in 2016, and the honor board still records her name until then, and worked on the development of a guide to monitor and document health data collected through users of phones, watches and smart bracelets on vital indicators of the body and its physical and mental activity, in addition to publishing nearly 20 scientific research in reputable scientific journals.
