Program Learning Outcomes
Knowledge and Understanding
- K1. Demonstrate a thorough understanding and critical perspective on the key theories, concepts, and terminology of both theoretical and experimental/applied chemistry knowledge, as well as the essential background in Physics and Mathematics.
- K2. Describe and explain correctly chemical phenomena, practical procedures, tools, and techniques used by chemists using chemical principles and scientific logic.
Skills
- S1. Identify, design, and solve a variety of chemistry problems (from fundamental to complex) by applying mathematical, scientific, and chemical principles, as well as modelling chemical systems.
- S2. Acquire, record, and critically evaluate teamwork results through the use of instrumentation and software, appropriate record-keeping practices, figure preparation, and scrutiny of experimental results.
- S3. Classify and assess laboratory hazards, practice risk minimization, and conduct safe laboratory practices.
- S4. Clearly communicate the results of scientific work in oral, written and electronic formats to both scientists and the public at large.
Values
- V1. Work in groups and teams in cooperation with other colleagues.
- V2. Recognize the chemist’s professional and ethical responsibilities
