Quality Assurance Manual
This guide serves as an organizational and procedural reference for quality management policies in the Journalism and Electronic Publishing Program, as part of Jazan University’s ongoing efforts to achieve academic excellence and ensure the quality of educational outcomes.
The guide is based on the quality policies adopted by Jazan University and aligns with the standards of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ensuring consistency of practices and the highest levels of efficiency in academic and administrative performance.
It also aims to clarify the Program Development and Quality Committee's methodology, outlining mechanisms for planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement. This contributes to achieving the program’s mission of scientific and professional excellence and to preparing graduates for the labor market in journalism and electronic publishing, in accordance with national standards.
The guide includes the policies and procedures governing quality in the program, such as the organizational structure for quality, roles and responsibilities, follow-up and evaluation plans, learning outcomes assessment cycles, and the program quality evaluation matrix. It also covers performance indicators, continuous improvement plans, reference standards, national accreditation criteria, program eligibility requirements, self-study reporting mechanisms, and quality cycle closure processes — all of which reinforce a culture of excellence and sustainable quality within the program’s academic and administrative environment.
