Overview of the Vice Deanship for Research and Development

The Vice Deanship for Research and Development is one of the main administrative and academic bodies within the college, responsible for promoting excellence in research, quality assurance, academic development, and continuous improvement. The Vice Deanship oversees several specialized units, including Quality and Academic Accreditation, Scientific Research, Postgraduate Studies, Planning and Development, Documentation and Information, and Continuing Professional Education. It aims to enhance the academic and research environment, support innovation and institutional development, and ensure alignment with the college and university strategic plans and national accreditation standards

:Duties and Responsibilities

:Duties

1. Promoting a culture of quality assurance and scientific research among faculty members, staff, and students through workshops, training programs, and awareness activities.

2. Supervising and supporting scientific research activities for faculty members, interns, and students, while developing strategies to improve research productivity and quality.

3. Coordinating with the Deanship of Scientific Research and relevant internal and external bodies to support research and development initiatives.

4. Implementing quality assurance and academic accreditation standards in accordance with the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) requirements.

5. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and preparing annual reports related to academic performance, quality assurance, and institutional development.

6. Developing and implementing strategic and operational plans related to research, quality, and institutional development.

7. Supporting continuous assessment and evaluation processes through surveys, data analysis, and performance review systems.

8. Organizing continuing professional development and training programs in various academic and clinical fields.

9. Supervising the different units affiliated with the Vice Deanship and ensuring the achievement of their objectives and operational plans.

10. Encouraging innovation, continuous improvement, and institutional excellence in academic, research, and administrative practices.

1. Overseeing the dissemination and implementation of quality assurance and research culture within the college.

2. Monitoring the implementation of research and development plans and ensuring their effective execution.

3. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support quality assurance, research, and development activities.

4. Contributing to the achievement of the college’s strategic goals and enhancing academic accreditation outcomes.

5. Evaluating the performance of affiliated units and ensuring compliance with quality and continuous improvement standards.

6. Preparing periodic reports and submitting them to the Dean of the College and relevant authorities.

7. Supervising the implementation of improvement initiatives, corrective actions, and risk management procedures related to quality and development.

8. Supporting the professional and research skill development of faculty members, staff, and students.
