About The Program

Program Mission

Providing quality education that develops thought and creativity to prepare human competencies in the field of tourism and hospitality and making scientific studies and research according to international standards that contribute to community service and meet its needs.

Program Goals

The Tourism and Hospitality Management Program aims to prepare qualified graduates with the knowledge and professional skills required to manage and operate tourism and hospitality organizations in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. Moreover, develop national human capital capable of contributing to economic diversification and meeting the needs of the tourism and hospitality labor market. In addition, promote applied scientific research in tourism and hospitality in accordance with international standards to support sustainable development and community service. Also, strengthen partnerships with government entities and industry stakeholders to enhance training, employment, and experiential learning opportunities. Finally, the program aims to foster leadership, innovation, ethical responsibility, and lifelong learning to support graduates’ success in a dynamic tourism and hospitality environment.  

Program Goals:

  1. Promote a culture of teamwork and integrate the roles among the Department staff.
  2. Implementing an effective strategic partnership with the labor market based on human development in all sectors of tourism and hospitality.
  3. Provide an integrated training environment for the student in the college that simulates the reality of the tourism and hospitality operations.
  4. Enrich the department and college with scientific production through scientific research, authored books, and patents.
  5. Sign memoranda of understanding with colleges, institutes, and specialized centers to exchange experiences.
  6. Align the Curricula with the scientific development and economic and social transformations in the field of tourism and hospitality management.
  7. Promote a culture of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship among tourism and hospitality students through the program’s specialized activities.
  8. Obtain national and international academic accreditation.
  9. Raise the level of community awareness of the importance of the tourism and hospitality industry and display its economic, cultural, and social benefits

Graduates of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Program will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of core concepts, theories, and principles of tourism and hospitality management. Organizational structures, operations, and management practices within tourism and hospitality establishments. Tourism planning, destination management, and experience design. Hospitality service standards, quality management, and customer experience. Sustainable tourism principles and their economic, social, and environmental impacts. The regulatory, ethical, and professional frameworks governing the tourism and hospitality sector. Current trends, technologies, and global best practices in tourism and hospitality.

Graduates of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Program will be able to apply managerial and operational skills in tourism and hospitality organizations. Plan, organize, and manage tourism and hospitality services and operations effectively. Deliver high-quality customer service and manage guest experiences professionally. Use analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational and managerial challenges. Apply communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills in diverse and multicultural environments. Utilize digital tools and relevant technologies in tourism and hospitality operations. Apply sustainable practices and quality standards in tourism and hospitality management.
