To provide excellence in teaching, research and to prepare students to be productive members of their accounting profession and society.

 

Programme Goals:

 

 

 

1)     To create an environment which focuses on students as individuals and providing them with opportunities to develop professional accounting skills necessary for career development.

2)     To improve the accounting program to support the labour market of the region in particular and of the Kingdom in general.

3)     Conforming that accounting program performance is in line with the standards of the Education & Training Evaluation Commission.

4)     Encourage and support students and faculty of the accounting program to conduct research which involves innovation and includes entrepreneurial ideas which would help to serve the community.

Striving to create an academic system that reinforces the skills of critical thinking, problem solving, decision making and promotes moral, ethical, and professional behaviour

The following attributes are expected from the graduates of the Bachelor’s in Accounting:

1)     Knowledgeable: Comprehensive knowledge of accounting theories, principles, international standards, and issues related to accounting division.

2)     Skilful: Record, recognize, post, and interpret the financial transactions of the organization critically analyze the financial statements and measure the performance of the entity and identify the problems associated with accounting cycle.

3)     Problem Solver: Demonstrate the problem-solving skills with adequate accounting knowledge, information, and technical aids.

4)     Team Player: Work effectively with others, capitalizing on their different thinking, experience, and skills

5)     Responsible: Identify and evaluate social, cultural, global, ethical, and environmental responsibilities and issues

6)  Communication: Effectively communicate the reports and analyze carried on the financial transaction to the management and the intended users
