Center Vision

To be a distinguished and leading center in the field of teaching, learning and measurement to develop the skills of the university’s staff and improve its outcomes in order to achieve excellence locally and internationally.

Mission

Develop the policies and strategies of teaching and learning at Jazan University and provide technical and training support to all academic programs in order to improve and develop the educational process to meet the standards of the national framework of qualifications and accreditation requirements associated with teaching, learning, measuring, and evaluating all their processes.

Goals

1. Design strategic plans and training programs to improve and develop the skills and abilities of faculty members in teaching,
measurement and evaluation strategies to achieve excellence in the field of learning, education and the accompanying
measurement and evaluation methods.
2. Contribute to improving the ways in which university students learn and adapt them to the ways of measuring and
evaluating them and participating in the consolidation and sustaining values and communication skills.
3. Study the problems facing learning and education at the university and provide appropriate support to reach and improve
innovative solutions.
4. Build an integrated measurement and evaluation system supported by an effective feedback system to implement the
required improvement plans.
5. Work to develop ideas and initiatives to improve and stimulate innovations in the field of teaching excellence and encourage
the integration of modern technologies in teaching and learning.
6. Building mechanisms to develop, consolidate and disseminate good practices in education and measurement by building
local and regional partnerships to share experiences and skills.
7. Follow-up measurements and evaluation processes at the course and program level to ensure that evaluations and
measurements are consistent with targeted learning outcomes at the course and program level.
8. Follow-up the work of feedback at the level of programs and courses to ensure that learning goals and outcomes are
achieved at the level of courses and programs.
9. Creating a database (members of the learning and teaching system (faculty members, academic programs, – teaching
strategies, – learning sources, – measurement and evaluation methods).
10. Develop measurement and evaluation methods to meet the needs of the components of the university system in
preparation for monitoring the indicators of the university’s strategic plan.
11. Providing technical support and scientific advice to all academic and administrative units in the field of measurement and
evaluation.
12. Measuring the rates of change in the performance of academic and administrative units by comparing two time periods.
13. Build a database of all components of the university system to provide easy access to data and information with a high
degree of objectivity and constantly speaking.
14. Preparing statistical reports of performance indicators for the strategic plan of the academic and administrative units of the
university.
15. Make recommendations to academic and administrative units that benefit from measuring performance indicators to
enhance strengths and address deficiencies in their performance.
16. Achieving integration and balance with the units of measurement and evaluation in the deans and faculties of the
university.
17. Spreading the culture of developing student performance evaluation systems and tests to measure different learning
outcomes and prepare human resources to follow advanced systems for the management of calendar systems.
18. The formation of question banks in the light of objective objectives and criteria in all decisions.
19. Adoption of electronic test evaluation systems and automated correction in academic program courses.
20. To assist graduate students in conducting statistical analyses of their research.
21. Apply analysis mechanisms for test results.
22. Apply appropriate feedback mechanisms for students about their performance in the tests.
