About the Department
It is a department that specializes in leading and enabling the digital transformation process within the university through planning digital transformation initiatives and actions, supporting the development of business models for transformation into digital and smart models, adopting big data analysis tools and artificial intelligence, in addition to the governance of procedures and supervision of the implementation of digital projects at the university in order to improve the university’s position. In light of the strategic plan to be among the ranks of digitally developed universities.
Digital Transformation Management tasks
The Digital Transformation Department performs many of the following tasks and roles:
- The department is responsible for drawing up policies and strategies related to digital transformation at the university level in light of the reports of the Office of Institutional Structure and in cooperation with it.
- Preparing digital transformation plans (strategic and operational) for the university, in line with national trends, policies and projects in this regard.
- Assisting other university entities in digital transformation.
- Enhancing the culture of process engineering for digital transformation in all entities at Jazan University.
- Adopting development plans that support digital transformation at the university.
