Jazan University imparts E-learning training for 5000 teachers
His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, affirmed that the University continues to fulfill its role and mission in spreading knowledge and undertaking community service. He added that the University is proud of its contribution towards supporting and enriching the Kingdom’s experience in e-learning, which was praised by 6 international organizations and bodies through two studies They confirmed the distinction and strength of the Saudi experience in the speed of response, the multiplicity of options, and the continuous improvement of education during the Coronavirus pandemic.
This came at the conclusion of the trainings conducted by the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology at Jazan University. More than 5,000 male and female teachers from Jazan and Sabya Education Departments benefitted from the training that was carried out as part of the University’s initiative in the field of e-learning.
The Dean of the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology, Dr. Ibrahim bin Ahmed Ghashim, informed that the University adopts the highest international standards in the field of online training with qualified faculty supported by the latest knowledge and scientific skills in the field of e-learning.
Dr. Ghashim explained that the training programs included a set of training packages that were provided to the trainees and included varied topics that covered aspects and skills of e-learning, training on distance teaching, the skills of using Microsoft Teams, in addition to successful electronic evaluation through foundations, tools and applications.
Dr. Ghashim stated that the Deanship provided e-certificates of attendance to all male and female teachers who received the training, stressing that the Deanship will, in the future, provide many more similar initiatives.
