Jazan University Council approves scholarship applications of 54 Teaching Assistants and Lecturers

His Excellency the President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mar’ei bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, praised the unique success and historic achievement of the Ministry of Education in the transformation of regular teaching to e-learning. And Dr. Al-Qahtani said that the two studies in which 6 international organisations participated in e-learning in the Kingdom, compared with 193 countries around the world, demonstrated the excellence of the Kingdom, the diversity of its options, the speed of its response and the continuous improvement of e-learning during the Coronavirus pandemic, with generous support from the wise leadership – may God protect them. This came during the President’s address of the University Council in its third session for the academic year 1442 AH, in the presence of the Secretary General for University Council Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, the University’s vice presidents, deans and deans of colleges and supporting deanships, in the University Council Hall in the administrative tower. It was conducted through video conferencing.

The Secretary of the University Council, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Muhammad bin Hassan Abu Rasin, explained that the council discussed the topics on its agenda and took a number of decisions, including: Approval of appointing 8 Saudi faculty members and those of similar rank to the rank of Assistant Professor, and approval of the scholarship and the continuation of the scholarship and transfer of 54 teaching assistants and lecturers both male and female to obtain master’s and doctoral degrees in different specializations; granting Master’s degrees to two students, approval of the procedural guide for committees examining research content, dissertations and information outlets at the University, and approval of a service contract between Jazan University and the ELS company to teach English in the United States of America.
