The least requirements for promotion are:
a) A published article in a refereed journal which should cover at least one unit.
b) A published or accepted article in a referred conference or specialized scientific meeting which should cover only one unit.
c) Published or had accepted an article in a referred journal of a specialized University Research Centre.
d) Book or books and other referred University literatures which should cover only one unit.
e) Book or books and other literatures which are refereed by scientific commission should cover only one unit.
f) Investigation of a rare refereed book which should cover only one unit.
g) Translation of specialized refereed scientific book which should cover only one unit.
h) Invention and patent which has been recorded as patent at the offices of patent and invention.
i) Novel and distinguished activity or activities: only one point would be accepted.
j) Forwards in published or accepted articles by the academic staff member who is seeking promotion should be in more than one journal.
Published or accepted articles would cover: a) one point if it has a single author, b) half point if two authors, c) half point for the senior author and quarter point for the other authors if the article has three authors, d) quarter point will be awarded for an article with more than three authors where the academic member of staff who is seeking promotion is not the senior author but If the academic member of staff is a senior author he will get a half point.
