Department of Archeology and Tourism holds its first batch’ graduation ceremony

Jazan University’s Department of Archeology and Tourism, first batch of sixteen graduating students celebrated their graduation ceremony. The celebration ceremony took place at the theater hall of the Colleges’ Complex in Abu Arish. Dr Yahya bin Muhamed al-Hakami, Dean of Abu-Arish College, along with his deputies and faculty staff attended the celebration. Honorary guests from outside the department were present for their cooperation with the department during the academic year 1432/1433 H.
The ceremony started with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an. This was followed by a review of the department’s scientific and methodological activities, presented by Dr Ala’rabi Sabri, Head of the Department. Then, the valedictorian delivered his speech, in which he thanked the Rector and the College Deanship for all the support that they have provided throughout their academic careers.
The Dean and the Dean Deputies, then, presented the students with their certificates and some congratulations gifts. They also presented certificates of appreciation to the department faculties, and to the collaborators. The certificates of attendance and participation in the department workshops were also given out during the ceremony to the twenty-six students who had participated in them. Near the end of the event, the students showed their thanks to the College Deanship with some shields that had thanks engraved in them.
