For the 27th Saudi Biology Association conference, there were four hundred and fifty research papers and posters submitted nationally. Jazan University Environmental Research Center received the best research award this year. This year’s conference took place at Jazan University. The top research paper was prepared by Professor Hasan Dawah and is entitled: “Longitudinal on Insects Pollinating Mangos and their Dramatic Decrease in South-Western Saudi Arabia”.
The list of the top twenty papers included two more studies from Jazan University by Professor Habeeb Khamirah and Professor Mosa al'Aqssam. Of these studies, one is on the mapping of cold and frost in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Dr Abdullah al-Hussein expressed his happiness for this achievement which shows distinction at Jazan University. He also expressed his gratitude to Professor Mohamed Bin Ali Al-Hyaz'e, the University Rector, for supporting the academic research and facilitating the means of conducting scientific studies.
