The advancement of knowledge, in this century, is becoming so rapid, sweeping and tremendous that it is almost impossible for an ordinary individual or a traditional reader, in this age of knowledge explosion, to have the ability to cover all this tremendous and huge amount of knowledge, simply by mere reading.

This explosion of knowledge is, no doubt, a real standing cause or a convincing reason behind encouraging the experts to think seriously of developing the methods or activating the means or machines, equipped to facilitate learning to a keen individual learner, and to help him absorb and comprehend any piece of information through various latest modern techniques.

In respect to the aforesaid, we notice that the educational institutions such as Jazan University, in particular, could be the most significant channel to introduce, to the keen observer and to its students, something crucial and substantial, helpful in contributing towards the advancement and development of their country through benefiting from their new skills and capabilities gained.

As far as knowledge of education is concerned, we could prudently mention that Jazan University has already been able to adopted and implement the international standards when activating and assessing the use of technological equipment, in the domain of university education and promotion of knowledge into real life situation.

Jazan University, by now, like a fountain head of knowledge, education and awareness has established an additional Deanship of Electronic Education and Distance Learning, a unique and advance technological system of learning operating side by side with the traditional system. This new system of distance learning can touch every field of life. It can touch everything comes in the mind (an explosion of knowledge). Therefore, it is worthwhile mentioning that it is worthy, for every individual, to be acquainted with this electronic learning along with some guide lines (drawn by the Deanship) and their implementation into practice.
