Dean’s Message
Sometime ago, some people believed that the aim of training is nothing else but going for a picnic, a good chance for leaving one’s routine work, at least, for a time, relaxation from work pressure; training is the only way for a person to keep away from boss or colleagues at work.
Others believed that joining training programs is their right whether these people are in need of training or not.
Training is not a magic word that makes miracles, but is an administrative means which can be exploited in a logical way to fulfill the aims of respective establishment. Hence, training cannot be successful or useful unless some necessary elements are made ready for this purpose.
Training means: a way of reforming work behaviour. It means: a good instrumental way of acquiring skills and capabilities to help enhance performance while doing one’s job. After a good training, the concerned official will definitely be eligible for promotion to a higher rank, or else be transferred to another organized post of prestige. Therefore, a logical interpretation for the word “vision” could be described as “positive investment” that produces clear positive effects. These effects are in the form of higher productivity or good behavior pattern revealed by the working class. Then, we could say that training does not mean money lost or spent. It is not an effort exerted for nothing. But training means: an effort that finds its way, through orientation, to serve the aims of a certain enterprise towards finding good solutions to its difficulties. Not only this but we believe that training means: an organized and planned effort exerted to acquire knowledge and skills, or the state of possessing new behavior pattern being practiced by a particular working class. By this new behavior pattern, the concerned class will acquire more capabilities and desire towards their own work. Training, also, aims at developing the skills of individuals in various fields of work i.e academic field, technical field and field of one’s specialization.
Training develops the standard of performance in one’s specialization, and makes him capable of bearing responsibility. Training helps working officials to do their work competently and skillfully. It helps them to combat psychological problems.
