A state of the art infrastructure is a necessary element for the success of all high education institutions around the world. However, success of these institutions is not usually measured only by its infrastructure, but rather by the excellence of faculty staff members, competence of administration, and success and continuous development of its programs and curricula. Academic development is, therefore, the most important element in the education process since it is interested in faculty and administration personnel development in view of the fast changing world of technology and communication. In this context, Jazan University looks up to the Academic Development Deanship as one of the important specialized deanships that aims at developing teaching and learning, and serving faculty, administration, and students. The Deanship for Academic Development at Jazan University works hard to establish channels of communication with similar Deanships and Education development Centres in a number of Arabic, European, and American Universities as well as with GCC, Arab, and World Educational Organizations.
