The rapid advancement in medical sciences has called for a concerted global effort towards new understanding of modern medical work, based on highly-qualified and well-trained individuals who perform their assigned roles honestly and with efficiency, and who are fully aware that they are working within a unified coordinated team of doctors, nutrition specialists, Physiotherapists, radiologists, clinical nutrition specialists, medical records specialists, nurses, administrators, and orderlies, all of them working with dedication and in harmony. The ultimate goal of the whole healthcare institution is to provide high-quality medical services and high standard medical education and to train and qualify nationals in the medical fields. Medical diagnostic technology has become an indispensable component of the institution of medical service, providing accurate diagnosis, prescription, follow-up, and monitoring the disease stages. With the introduction of new techniques, the accumulation of international experience, and the application of modern sciences, medical technology is rapidly changing, continually improving, and ever diverging into minute independent and full-fledged specialties. As a result of these quick developments, the importance of the medical technician has greatly increased. Technical diagnostic specialties include lab technicians, speech therapists, optometrists, anesthetists, nurses, medical records specialists and others. As doctors nowadays cannot work in isolation from the other members of medical teams, those other members in the medical teams need to keep at a high level of skill and knowledge to be able to perform their roles efficiently, to converse efficiently with doctors, to cope with the scientific developments in their respective fields, and to train individuals. As such, healthcare specialists play an important role in promoting medical service and raising the quality of medical care. This is what characterizes hospitals of the developed countries: highly-qualified medical teams whose members acting in concert and in cooperation to provide high-quality medical service to patients. All our universities are keen on establishing those important medical specialties by providing a high standard of medical education and training, comparable to their equivalents in the technologically-developed world, to have graduates who are equal, if not better than those of developed countries, and who are able pursue graduate studies in those fields. The preparation of qualified healthcare providers will fill an important gap, helping in providing the best service to our beloved country.
